Adorable Red Fox Kit

"Adorable Red Fox Kit" by Debbie Oppermann. When I heard that my daughter's neighbours had spotted Red Fox kits at a shed near their house I pretty much flew out to check it out. Of course they were not playing outside, so over the course of a few days and about six hours of waiting I was rewarded for my patience by finally getting to see them. There were three kits but they were really shy. This little one had just emerged from the den which was underneath the red shed and just stood for the longest time staring at me. I was afraid to move as I didn't want it to go back in the den. It did eventually move around a little and one of it's siblings came out to check me out as well. I have never had the opportunity to photograph the youngsters before so it was a major thrill for me!
